I love pork ribs. Most people I know seem to stick with BBQ sauce flavored ribs or smoked ribs. This unique ribs recipe will blow your mind and taste buds. I have been making ribs for decades, but these ribs are everyone's requested favorite. Every single person that tries it, raves that they are the best ribs they've ever had.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (149°C).
  2. Cut the rack of St. Louis Style Ribs in half. Using a sharp knife, score the backside of the ribs over the membrane (make tiny slashes and cuts all over the backside)
  3. Lightly sprinkle all sides of the ribs with paprika
  4. Sprinkle and coat all sides of ribs with Paleo Power FODMOP seasoning blend.
  5. Coat all sides of the ribs generously with Primal Kitchen Foods Spicy Brown Mustard.
  6. Lay each rack bone side down in its own large heavy-duty aluminum foil tent

Making a steam tent out of aluminum foil is a great way to cook food evenly while keeping it moist. Here are the steps:

  • Cut a sheet of heavy-duty aluminum foil that is twice the length of the food item you want to steam. Fold it in half to create a crease down the center.
  • Open the foil back up and place your food in the center of one half.
  • Fold the other half of the foil over the food and crimp the edges together tightly to create a seal.
  • Roll up the sides of the foil to create a tent shape around the food, leaving a small opening for steam to escape.
  • Pour a small amount of liquid, such as water or vinegar, into the foil pouch through the opening.
  • Fold the opening over and crimp it tightly to create a seal, making sure not to let any liquid escape.
  • Place the foil steam tent on a baking sheet or in a baking dish and cook according to your recipe.

After preparing steam tents....

  • Before sealing up all sides of the foil, pour 1 oz of apple cider vinegar in each steam tent.
  • Place both foil tents on a large baking sheet and bake in the oven for 3 hours.
  • Remove from the oven and cut open the foil tents.
  • Set the oven to BROIL.
  • In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of ketchup with 1/3 cup maple syrup.
  • Generously brush the top of the ribs with this mixture.
  • Put the ribs back in the oven, on the top rack (foil tents still open), and broil for 3-5 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy!
